Time to Share...

Miss you guys! I took a break at my parents' house after a busy weekend and I was dying to update my news .
Reading is great ... so reading some articles cheered me up. I have read several issues and one of them is: The Battle of every woman . This inspires me, makes me think back and I realize I have a commitment to keep you updated. It is good to share and I miss doing this recently ... I have various excuses, but it is good to be here with you. In the last post I talked a bit about the Child at Risk course and my relationship with Dean. I will continue to talk about this at the end. In this post today I would like to say that we finished the lecture phase of the Child at Risk course which was 12 intense weeks and now we have starting the Human Trafficking Project; something that is very much in the media today. Well besides all the normal activities such as working with churches , missionary conferences and seminars, in late July we started the practical part of the school. Going to the streets, community visits, and working in the Hope House. Human Trafficking -' I'm against'. This project was initiated because of the World Cup and the results of what will happen, such as sex tourism. Previously seeing this reality here in São Lourenço da Mata near our stadium we began to pray about it and take steps. The goal is to act in society in the educational field as prevention, talking about sexual exploitation in schools, churches handing out pamphlets and showing videos, remind them that this is a subject that is talked about very little among us Christians. Watch the video below!

On June 14 of this month, we held the opening of the Human Trafficking project here in the community of Santa Monica , opening the program with worship, arts, toys, clowns and a specific program for children. In addition to showing videos for children and adults. We will continue meeting once a week, seeking partnerships and relationships with other Non Profit organizations and also with the Child Services here in our county. The Secretary of Social Welfare attended the event, and we can't help to use this opportunity as a form of evangelism. We understand that this is only the beginning. Another thing that has happened this month was my trip to participate in an International YWAM University of the Nations workshop in Mexico . This event takes place every two years and I had the opportunity to go and represent the base, participate in other events including an international workshop on Human Trafficking. You can tell that I am totally involved in many things, but I am always focusing on reality. I continue to work with pastoral care and discipleship with different people, which I love doing, besides coordinating the area of the personnel department at the base delegating job duties. Sounds chic the name of my function, but it explains a bit of what I do making the weekly schedule and job duties of each department and worker. Well my life is not just work, I have my personal life and my relationship with Dean. We have been going together now for 2 years and 8 months and we have waited for the right time for everything of God, which does not prevent us from praying, thinking and making plans for the future . He continues to work on jobs in Canada that God has provides for him at this time and I keep taking steps fulfilling the promises of God in every project, we are praying and dreaming about the future, but still living in this time and process. I am always thankful to God and I must mention that the partnerships, relationships, friends and family that are involved in every challenge in which I am placed. I know this is important and God's answer to my life .
